Astound Announces Launch360: Storefront

Our premier Salesforce Commerce Cloud accelerator fuels agile commerce

Astound is the Salesforce Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) expert on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Commerce Cloud). We were the first to launch a customer on SFRA, and we’ve done it many times since. In keeping with that pioneering spirit, today we’re excited to announce Launch360: Storefront, our best-of-breed reference application built on SFRA for Salesforce B2C Commerce and the flagship of our suite of Launch360 Salesforce accelerators.

Kyle Montgomery
Global Vice President, Salesforce Commerce, at Astound

For years, brands have clamored for the scalability of enterprise ecommerce without sacrificing customer experience. Salesforce Commerce Cloud is the optimal platform, and SFRA has served as the starting point for many customers since 2018.

Over the years, Astound has implemented dozens of brands on SFRA; through those experiences, we found common opportunities for improvements and enhancements. SFRA could be more performant and more accessible; the user experience could be enhanced; common features could be included standard; the experience of the business user could use some love.

We realized we could save our customers time and money by incorporating these common improvements in a better, faster starting point for Commerce Cloud implementations.

Enter Launch360: Storefront.

Featuring a re-envisioned front end with over 2,000 UX customizations and a fully backwards-compatible back end, Launch360: Storefront gives customers the power of Commerce Cloud and SFRA combined with the performance and elegance of Astound’s best-in-class user experience and user interface design.

In as few as eight weeks, brands can be up and running with a better, faster, more performant storefront experience on Commerce Cloud.

As part of Astound’s Launch360 suite of Salesforce accelerators, Launch360: Storefront seamlessly integrates with other Salesforce products to help businesses achieve 360-degree views of their customers and one-to-one customer journeys at scale, including:

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Salesforce Order Management System
  • Salesforce Customer Data Platform (CDP)
  • MuleSoft, Tableau, Slack, and more

Boasting two starter themes at launch with more to come, Launch360: Storefront is feature-rich and integration-ready. Commonly requested functionality can be enabled with clicks not code, including:

  • Buy online, pick up in-store (BOPIS)
  • Social logins including Facebook and Google
  • Page Designer Extended (PDX), our enhanced Page Designer-based solution
  • Progressive web application (PWA) features including lightweight offline mode, caching, and mobile push notifications
  • Back-in-stock notifications, and more

Performance has also been improved. From simple page speed metrics to full Google Lighthouse analysis to customer conversion based on our UX improvements, every metric bears out the value of starting with Launch360: Storefront for your ecommerce storefront.

Launch360: Storefront’s back end is built on SFRA, meaning it is compatible with all Commerce Cloud frameworks including Commerce Cloud jobs, services, Open Commerce API (OCAPI), and LINK cartridge integrations.

“Launch360: Storefront changes the MVP game,” says Dave Murack, EVP of Technical Consulting and Architecture at Astound. “We are no longer focusing on minimal viable products for our customers at launch; we are starting every replatform project from a maximally valuable position.”
